Calling all adventurers to get ready to Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board around the tropical islands of the Whitsundays. Set sail to Australia’s best beach on your own charter yacht and spend unforgettable nights under the stars during the ultimate Whitsunday SUP Challenge from 17-23 May 2015.

This weeklong event will see amateur paddlers from around the world paddle through the stunning natural backdrops of the Whitsunday Islands National Park. The adventure factor is high – Start with races along the Whitsunday Islands, throw in your friends and family to cheer you on as they follow the fleet of paddlers on your own sailing or motor yacht, then spend unforgettable nights under the stars as you anchor in secluded bays and at unspoilt beaches.

The event will start with a sail to Cid Harbour for the first SUP downwind race from Cid Harbour to Nara Inlet before setting sail to Australia’s best beach – Whitehaven Beach – for the second race and a fun race and team challenges on the next day. Get to know your fellow paddlers and their friends and families at the Whitehaven Beach party before enjoying a day off to explore this tropical island paradise. On the last day, paddlers will compete in a fourth race from Funnel Bay to Shingley Beach at Airlie Beach with winners announced at a presentation night at Abell Point Marina.
